The San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Library has a copy of the Nicholson Book.

The San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society has been able to photograph the Original Plat Maps of the Ranchos of San Luis Obispo County. The Plat Maps are in old books which are archived at the San Luis Obispo County Historical Society.

The surveys of the Mexican Land Grants were ordered by Congress at the time California became a State: This information is available at the SLO County Clerk's Office. The Plat Maps show topography of the area, surveyor's notations, adjacent land areas, roads and creeks.

Because the Plat Maps are historical in nature and contribute to the understanding of how San Luis Obispo County was formed, it is with great pleasure and with the cooperation of both SLOCGS and SLOCHS that we put the images online.
