Following the recommendation of the County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department to maintain aggressive social distancing, the County of SLO Public Libraries will close all libraries until further notice. We will continually assess the developing situation to determine the length of the closure.

During this closure all library programs, in-house services, and meetings are cancelled.

The San Luis Obispo Genealogical Library is on the second floor of the San Luis Obispo Public Library. On days that the Public Library is open, our hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12 PM to 3 PM.

Our volunteers are happy to help with your family research! Our SLO collection is a great resource for local research!

The Arroyo Grande Genealogical Library is located upstairs in the Arroyo Grande Public Library.
It is usually open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 4 PM
or by appointment any time the Public Library is open.
