Canet Family Cemetery
Morro Bay
San Luis Obispo, California

The Canet Family Cemetery is located on private property off of Highway 1 shortly before the turn off to Morro Bay.  Much has been written about this Cemetery and the Canet Family who settled in San Luis Obispo County in its early days.

The San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society's Bulletin Volume 12, 1979 [Pages 46-56] contained an article on the Cemetery: Included in the article is the following:
Listing of Graves, Drawing showing locations, Biography of George Canet, a 4 generation Pedigree Chart and an excerpt from
"The Footprints of Time by Charles Bancroft, published in 1874"
The Bulletin Article can be found here.

A spread-sheet for the Cemetery Data was created from the 1979 Article: The Cemetery has been photographed many times over the years, the most recent headstone images are available on Find-A-Grave.

Note: The F~A~G photographer has 70 headstones onsite, some of which are headstones for persons not yet deceased.
