Cayucos ~ Morro Bay Cemetery Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo County California

The Cemetery is located off of Highway One on Ocean Avenue in Cayucos, San Luis Obispo County, CA.

The land was purchased by the County of San Luis Obispo from the Negranti Family who have roots deep in our County. 

This Cemetery was photographed in June 2011 by the following SLOCGS Volunteers:

 The 2005 Index was then updated by matching and updating with the data from the headstones.

Notes:

A lot of errors were found and the information on the Index was corrected according to the headstone. Where there was no date of death inscribed, efforts were made to ascertain the date by using the CADI & the SSDI.

If there was no date of birth on the headstone and it was recorded in the Cemetery Records, that date was added to the 2011 Index.

Corrections are welcome: If any family member has documentation as to dates of Birth or Death, please submit same to SLOCGS and the Index will be updated.

The updated index contains 4953 Interments. There are three Civil War Veterans, many Spanish American War Veterans, as well as Veterans from World Wars I & II, Korea and Vietnam. The earliest burials are in the 1860’s.
