Were your ancestors from the Holy Roman Empire (800-1806) or the Confederation of the Rhine (1806-1813) or the German Confederation (1815-1866) or the North German Confederation (1866-1870)? These areas are now known as the German Empire after it was unified in 1871.

Come share & learn of the wide range of resources in tracing your German family line.

Possible topics include how to get started in German genealogy, resources on how to read German records, sources of German records, German settlements in the US, German state archives, finding ancestral villages, and connecting with German relatives.

We meet via Zoom at 7PM the first Monday of the month.
