Professional Researchers

The San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society maintains a list of independent genealogical researchers who are able to conduct research locally, statewide, nationwide, and worldwide (please see below). SLOCGS assumes no responsibility for the work of these researchers, and inclusion here does not constitute an endorsement. Any agreement reached with one of these researchers is a personal contract between two private parties and does not involve the San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society.

Researchers vary with respect to credentials, experience, rates, and services. You may wish to visit the Association of Professional Genealogists website https://www.apgen.org/cpages/how-to-hire-a-professional-genealogist for pointers on hiring a professional researcher.
